Contrary to popular belief, Connolly won't be that difficult to move. One year left on contract. He will appeal to the many teams who need to get to the Cap floor

Lombo due to him being uninsurable will be a very difficult move... Likely going to the Marlies for the season

Not much here. Just a new blog with old idea's and old issues. One week into the free agent frenzy and nothing! At least some teams made an effort to get better. This team did nothing. It's going to make for a long season. Here's hoping on a work stopage and then a slow start by the Leafs. Get buried early and stay in the mud in the basement. We can then have half a season to watch and the first half to relax.

Just one other thing.........can we start chanting Go Leafs Go, at the Blue Jays games now? Since they've sold us plenty of hype and no real results, it's just another round of Toronto deja vu!

The good thing is most of our problems disappear after this year....we just have to make it work for a short period of time.

Lombo might be destined for the Marlies but I don't know if that's a move Burke will make unless it's a last resort type thing. I think they legitimately want to see if he can come back to form after a full off season of training. Hope I'm wrong.

Just wait for the work stopage and let the contracts expire..........Luongo will be one year older, once the new CBA gets hammered out, so let's just let him simmer in the Florida Sun, while the NHL arena's go dark until Christmas.

Haha, while i slightly agree, this has to be the most popular sentence to happen in hockey the past 2 years. Surely they could just spend 4.5mil on strippers and have a good time???

Insert one of Connolly or Komi in the Luongo trade. Bozak probably will be sed Ina trade to get a big physical 3rd line winger

Forget Luongo! Hope for a work stopage and then finish at the bottom. Pick a top 3 player, use your cap space to grab some top end free agents next year. Tanking half a season, is easier than tanking a whole season. The Leafs usually start poorly or end poorly. With only half a season, we either make the playoffs or end in the mud in the basement.
